TECHNIPFMC AND TRANSBORDERS AUSTRALIA FORM EXCLUSIVE PARTNERSHIP TO COMMERCIALISE STRANDED GAS RESOURCES IN AUSTRALIA
TechnipFMC and Transborders Australia (Transborders) are pleased to advise that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for exclusive business collaboration to accelerate the commercialization of stranded offshore gas resources in Australia.
The MoU was signed today in Paris and Perth by TechnipFMC Senior Vice President of Region EMIA Samik Mukherjee and Transborders Managing Director Mr Daein Cha.
The agreement forms an exclusive business collaboration between TechnipFMC and Transborders to deploy a small scale Floating LNG (FLNG) vessel with subsea wells tie-back development concept for commercializing a series of stranded offshore gas resources in Australia. As a business partnership, Technip FMC will solely engineer, procure, construct and install (EPCI) the FLNG vessel and Subsea Umbilical Risers and Flowlines (SURF) scopes for a series of such projects.
Technip FMC mentioned that today’s signing gives both companies scope to realize new project opportunities by enabling the development of currently stranded gas resources. Technip FMC is happy to assist Transborders with its industry leading EPC capabilities for both the FLNG and SURF scopes associated with Transborders’ proposed small scale development concept.
Transborders Director Daein Cha said today’s event marked a new milestone for both companies to further grow their businesses and footprints in Australia.
